Traditional medicine

Madabuza is a Sonic Channel, who has worked with sacred sound in Ceremony for over 30 years. His path weaves Africa, Peru, India, Mexico and Himalaya into his traditional medicine practice.

The medicines and the ceremony help us access our transpersonal self with which to help our lives, and connect us to the Greater Whole from whence we are born.

"I am grateful to have been in the ceremonial realm for over 3 decades, during which time I have seen many changes in the landscape.

My initiations and training in the Andes for ceremony and serving plant medicines, and in Eastern Tao, (as well other blessed opportunities to journey with Marakame, Huni Kuin and Red Path sweatlodges), have been woven with the spirit of MaAfrika.

Here in the Ancestral frequencies of Her lands, my path led me to the Water prophets, and here I have been blessed to receive a spirit name from my honorable guide, the Sanusi Baba Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa. In the context of this path was revealed to me the West African Root Bark, the master medicine, which I have now also worked with for close to a decade.

My path is of a Sonic Channel (of Abangoma, Hollow Bone), and of Water.

Madabuza is an award-winning musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and instrument builder, who has performed at prominent venues and festivals, locally and internationally.

Instruments include guitars, voices, African harps, Marimba, Umrhube (harmonic bow), Berimbau and Uhadi bows, bamboo Flutes and Panpipes, African drums and percussions...some of which he includes in his Afro World Music Loop show.
