Join us for a free online Gather’round exploring our relationship with the natural world, the intelligence of other species, and what happens when we move from observing nature to becoming part of the living world.
We live in a time where it is easy to experience nature from a distance — through screens, photographs, documentaries and carefully contained encounters. But what happens when we allow ourselves to become truly immersed? What shifts when we slow down, open our senses and allow ourselves to experience nature as something we belong to?
When we listen with more than our ears, pay attention with our whole bodies, and recognise the beings and ecosystems around us as living, sensing worlds, something begins to shift.
Together, we’ll explore nature as teacher and consider the different forms of intelligence, communication and relationship that exist beyond the human. What might dolphins, elephants, oceans and wild places reveal when we approach them with curiosity, respect and a willingness to listen? And what might we discover when we become receptive to other ways of knowing?
This Gather’round is an invitation to slow down and become more receptive — to explore what it means to meet the wild rather than simply look at it. We’ll reflect on sensing, presence, interspecies connection, belonging and the possibility of remembering ourselves as part of nature rather than separate from it.
This conversation is also an invitation into the world of Into the Wild, a retreat that has explored these questions through immersive encounters with elephants and dolphins for many years. Come curious, come open, and come ready to listen.
