Description

Originally from Germany, I live in Cape Town with my husband Richard and our 17-year-old son Jesse.

Ayurveda came into my life many years ago and has gradually become much more than a system of health for me. It has taught me how to listen to my body, understand its changing needs and take greater responsibility for my own wellbeing.

My own journey has taken me through infertility, stress, Hashimoto’s, digestive issues and menopause. Throughout these different chapters, the ancient wisdom and self-care practices of Ayurveda have helped me to find more balance, reconnect with my own intuition and live more closely with the rhythms of nature.

I first encountered Ayurveda during a sabbatical in 2007. At the time, it helped me navigate an important crossroads in my life — one that ultimately led to becoming a mother.

Years later, for my 50th birthday, a dear friend gifted me a Panchakarma retreat in Kerala, India. Experiencing Ayurveda so deeply in my own body changed something for me. I didn’t just understand the principles anymore — I could feel their wisdom.

I went on to study with Nidhi Pandya and later completed a two-year intensive training with Katy Silcox and the Shakti School. I qualified as an Ayurvedic Wellness Coach in 2022.

Today, through Ayurveda with Claudia, I offer one-to-one consultations, online Ayurvedic cleanses, women’s wellness circles, workshops and retreats.

At the heart of my work is something very simple: learning to listen again.

Our bodies are communicating with us all the time — through appetite, digestion, energy, sleep, mood and the subtle sense of what feels nourishing and what does not. Yet in busy lives, surrounded by so much information and advice, it can become difficult to hear those signals.

I create spaces where we can slow things down and become curious about what is actually happening.

Rather than following a rigid formula, we look at the whole person — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual — as well as the rhythms, habits and lived experiences that have shaped where you are today.

From there, we work with simple Ayurvedic practices and realistic lifestyle changes suited to your individual constitution and your life.

My intention is not to tell you how to live, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, trust the wisdom of your own body and feel empowered to make choices that genuinely nourish you.
