The truth is no one can really teach you how to breathe. There are as many ways to breathe as there are people on this planet.
What I offer in my sessions is helping you to find your breath.
With years of experience in both the wellness and creative industries, my work is now deeply attuned to the rhythms of nature, the intelligence of the body, and the sacred threads that connect us - to ourselves, to one another, and to the earth.
I've walked a long personal journey with my breath and I now share this medicine by creating safe and expansive containers with ease and grace so that others can find their own breath, release, realign, and reclaim their innate vitality, and step into a life of greater clarity, resilience, and embodied presence, one breath at a time.
Many of us move through life slightly disconnected from it, breathing just enough to get through the day while the body quietly carries the stress, suppressed emotions, the pressure and the old stories.
When we begin a Breathwork practice and bring conscious awareness to the breath, the body gradually remembers more natural and optimal breathing patterns. As the breath deepens and becomes more connected, oxygen delivery throughout the body improves, reaching the cells where the mitochondria (the tiny energy centres within each cell) use oxygen to produce ATP, the energy that powers our entire system. Balanced breathing also helps regulate carbon dioxide levels, which allows oxygen to be released more efficiently into tissues, while activating the parasympathetic nervous system so the body can move into a state of repair and restoration. In this way Breathwork supports the body not only emotionally and energetically but also at a cellular level, helping the systems of the body untangle, restore flow, and function with greater vitality.
My role is simply to hold a steady, attentive space while your own breath shows you the way.
Each session is different depending on the conditions of the body and what is alive in you on that given day. I listen closely to what your body and breath are asking for and guide the journey from there.
Over time we begin to trust our breath again. We learn how to use it as anchor when life feels overwhelming. We also discover a deeper relationship with ourselves.
That for me is what this work is really about. And it’s easier than you think.
Let me know if you have any questions, or come try a session.
