The BE Hive

From soil to spirit — a sanctuary for regeneration and reconnection.

Description

The BE Hive, nestled in the Cape Winelands between Simonsberg and the Drakenstein mountains, is a living system where nature, creativity, and community converge. Rooted in the vision of Be the Earth Foundation, the BE Hive exists as both soil and seed — cultivating regenerative practices while holding space for transformation.

At its heart is our Food Forest: a thriving agroforestry project that restores the land while nourishing the body, offering abundance and lessons from nature’s intelligence.

What you can experience at the BE Hive:

Food Forest Journeys – guided, multi-sensorial walks with stories, tastings, and grounding rituals.
Immersive workshops – yoga, meditation, sound bathing, and creative practices like clay, weaving, and herbal medicine.
Spaces to gather – for co-creation, co-working, and private group immersions.
Shared meals – seasonal, organic, and harvested from our Food Forest and Boschendal’s Werf gardens.
Overnight stays – simple comfort in nature, available to workshop participants and members.

We honor the ancestral presence of the Khoikhoi and San peoples, original custodians of this valley, whose wisdom of balance and reverence inspires our work. The BE Hive is an ecosystem of people, plants, and possibilities — a home for those seeking to live, learn, and create in harmony with the earth.

Whether you come to walk the forest, join a workshop, or simply reconnect with yourself, the BE Hive welcomes you. May your time here offer grounding, inspiration, and renewal of spirit.
