The Invisible Layer of Facilitation: Every room has dynamics moving through it: authority, identity, projection, silence, and activation, shaping what unfolds whether you name them or not. You may know your material intimately, but can you track the role power you hold as the facilitator, the personal power expressed through your nervous system and presence, and the social power that shapes how you are perceived before you speak? If you are not conscious of these forces, they still influence the room; embodied facilitation is the practice of working with them intentionally and skillfully.
