Description
We invite you to join us in exploring the dark images and mythology of sexual compulsions, as seen through the lens of Archetypal Philosophy. This series of four lectures addresses different complex behaviours that offend, solicit and provoke.
Sexual violence, perversity, paedophilia, pornography. Such topics have a high emotional charge. They challenge us to find our stand amidst heated opinions. These subjects demand attention, and must be entered into, respectfully and rigorously.
The study course is full-bodied, poetic and academically challenging, and is intended for curious thinkers with a passion for psychology and philosophy, whether as interested newcomers, or those seeking to deepen their understanding in what they already know.
The format shall be two sessions of an hour each. There will be a break between lectures for supper, and time for questions afterwards. The four talks together form one continuous body of work. However, each can be attended and enjoyed separately.
