I’m a graduate Sangoma looking for a space to hold ceremonies for initiation of students who have the calling.
We would require an indoor space for people to gather as ceremonies usually take 2-3 days with drumming, dancing and singing throughout the night.
Space outside to make fires for cooking as well as gather in the daytime.
Sacrifice does play a role in ceremonies (chicken/goat)
Sleeping doesn’t feature much during these events but a space to setup camping tents for those coming to support students or space to sleep on mats on the floor would suffice but rooms would work too.
