The desire to love and be loved is a spiritual feast. It is a fulfilment of a profound connection to the mysteries of the creative drive at the heart of the psyche. The parameters of desire as a force should not be decided or defended by current fashions or politics.

This workshop is for those who wish to deepen their connection to the vitalising and imaginative possibilities within desire. It is also beneficial to those who may be frustrated or stuck in their sexual expression and relating.

THE METAPHYSICS OF SEXUAL TRANSFORMATION

The first part of the workshop considers the lyrical shape through which more ancient traditions have explored the sacred dimensions of sensual loving. From the Tantric scriptures of Vedanta and Buddhism, the conscious-sex practices of the Taoists, and the erotic mysteries of the Kabbalist and Dionysian schools, we learn basic building blocks for our daily living. These include breath exercises and energy locks, and understanding the profound difference between the orgasmic experience of women and men. Medical perspectives, contemporary knowledge, and the evolution of gendered sexuality, are also studied alongside these teachings.

THE NAKED TRUTH

The second part develops the ability to live with Kadeisha consciousness. We rarely have sexual encounters that are free of cultural influences and family context. Every attraction, every pattern of touch, every orgasm is shaped by our sexual imprinting and psychic shadows. Body issues and the roots of sexual anxiety and shame need to be exposed and reimagined. We enter the realms of fantasy and its interface with reality; we explore dominance and submission as necessary parts of mature sexuality; and we learn to adapt these understandings to the chaos of living. Finding your unique sexual character and establishing an ongoing erotic dialogue are essential aspects of conscious loving.

This is an adult workshop, with appropriate boundaries. Erotic energy is explored through movement, study, story-telling, breathwork, dance, and soulful living on the edge of the wild forest.
