Description
The Cocoon
~ A one-day immersive experience for women
Sunday 26 April 2026, 9am-5pm
Retreat Centre, Boschendal Wine Estate, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, South Africa
A delicious soil-to-fork lunch, snacks, and tea/coffee are included.
The Cocoon is an immersive experience weaving together embodied leadership, sensed ecology, and visionary praxis. It is a day designed for those who feel a deep call to move through transformation as part of a wider relationship with how they move and influence life around them.
A cocoon is a site of intelligent re-patterning. It is where form dissolves, where the nervous system reorganises, and where new capacities quietly assemble beneath the surface. This day is built around the qualities, rhythm, and spirit of that threshold space.
Guided by Cathy Coyle, internationally renowned women’s leadership coach, visionary, and PhD candidate in transpersonal and integral psychology, The Cocoon offers a deeply grounded yet imaginal container for change. Cathy’s work bridges the wild, the mythic, and the scientific, integrating somatic intelligence, ecological awareness, and consciousness studies to support women navigating shifts in identity, leadership, and being.
The Spirit of the Cocoon
In nature, the cocoon is a protected field a living architecture that allows transformation without force. Old structures soften. Sensitivity increases. New ways of sensing, orienting, and responding emerge.
This immersion mirrors that process.
Rather than striving for answers or outcomes, we create the conditions for receptivity, coherence, and inner reorganisation. The day invites you into a slower, more attuned state where the body leads, perception widens, and subtle intelligence becomes accessible.
What We Will Explore
Throughout the day, we will work with:
• Breath as a regulator and portal
Using gentle, guided breathwork to support nervous system regulation, expand perceptual range, and allow natural shifts in consciousness without overwhelm.
• Somatic listening and embodied awareness
Attuning to sensation, impulse, and inner movement — learning to trust the body as an orienting system rather than something to manage or override.
• Ecological sensing and ecosomatics
Engaging the living field around us to deepen relational awareness, ground insight, and remember the body as an ecological instrument.
• Subtle shifts in consciousness and states of being
Entering soft, altered, yet highly present states that support insight, integration, and creative re-patterning.
• Visionary praxis
Translating inner shifts into lived orientation — how perception, leadership, and presence change when the system reorganises from the inside out.
An Invitation
The Cocoon is for those who sense that they are between versions of themselves.
For leaders, creatives, and visionaries who know that real change happens beneath the surface — in the body, in relationship, and in the unseen layers of perception.
This is not a day of fixing or becoming.
It is a day of allowing what is already forming to complete its work.
You do not emerge from a cocoon the same way you entered.
You emerge reorganised — with new sensitivities, new capacities, and a deeper trust in your own inner timing.
Spaces are limited for this intimate, high-impact experience.
*To make this day super cosy please bring with you for your comfort a yoga mat, blankets, cushion, sheep skin, eye mask/scarf, bottle of water, journal and pen.
