This 2.5 hour introductory workshop introduces core mindfulness-based emotional intelligence skills and practical applications.
PARTICIPANTS WILL EXPERIENCE LASTING IMPROVEMENTS, INCLUDING:
Increased self-awareness and selfregulation, two foundational emotional intelligence competencies.
Practical take-away skills: mindfulness, journaling, tools, and techniques for self-awareness and self-regulation.
The interactive workshop includes:
An introduction to the neuroscience supporting mindfulness and emotional intelligence.
Foundational exercises to focus attention, calm the mind, and develop emotional awareness.
Practical workplace applications to support participants in greater selfawareness and enhanced ability to respond to stress and challenge more deliberately.
A highly interactive experience, with 1/3 presentation and 2/3 hands-on exercises.

Mindfulness: Moving from autopilot to aware
Practice: Attention Training
Self-Awareness: knowing one’s internal states
Practice: Journaling
Self-Management: skillfully manage your impulses and reactions
Practice: Self Compassion exercise
Wrap up and final reflection
This workshop will be led by two SIY Globally Certified Teachers:
Margo is a clean-tech leader and commercial strategist, gender lens investor, mindfulness facilitator, writer and yogi. She is a seasoned facilitator in workplace mindfulness and emotional intelligence trainings to support organizational development and culture.
Jenny is a research psychologist passionate about the science of mindfulness, compassion and emotional intelligence. She believes in making mindfulness accessible, practical (and fun!) to people no matter where they may find themselves in life.
