    Description

This hands-on workshop introduces the fundamentals of natural dyeing using organic plant waste and plants, revealing how botanical materials can be transformed into rich, colourfast dyes.

Designed as both a standalone experience and great follow up workshop to eco-printing, this workshop gently expands your botanical colour skills.

    You will learn:

Which plants and flowers produce strong, colourfast natural dyes
How to extract and work with plant-based dyes
How to use botanical inks and mineral modifiers to shift and enhance colour
Basic techniques for applying natural colour to fabric and paper

    What to Expect:

This will be a very cosy winter workshop with, a fire, tea, a warm lunch and a pot of dye simmering away with our fluffy Merino wool skeins.

During the session, you will receive a 100g Merino wool skein to dye using botanical dyes and mineral modifiers.

You’ll also experiment with botanical inks on paper and experience the magic of colour shifting in real time.

I will gently guide you in creative expression.

Each participant receives a take-home workbook covering the basics of natural dyeing to continue experimenting at home.

    Your ticket includes:

    All materials
    A 100g Merino wool skein
    A printed natural dyeing workbook
    Lunch and beverages
Personal guidance in a relaxed, small-group setting
This is a beginner-friendly, family-friendly workshop. Kids of all ages allowed under parental supervision.

No artistic experience required, just curiosity for colour and nature.

Spaces are limited. Book early to avoid missing out
