Naked Poetry in Cape Town: Where Words Meet Vulnerability

At S.O.L.O Community, we believe real connection begins where performance ends.
Naked Poetry is one of those rare evenings where people come as they are, speak from the heart, and experience poetry in a deeply human way.

Poetry has always carried truth in a few carefully chosen words: rhythm, meaning, emotion, and insight. Naked Poetry adds another layer to that truth by creating space for honest presence, body acceptance, and soulful listening.

What Is Naked Poetry?

Naked Poetry is a recurring, non-sexual, clothing-optional poetry event hosted by our Sage Rob Millenaar in a private, comfortable, and safe setting in Cape Town.

Participants are invited to read:

  • Their own poems
  • Poems by favorite writers
  • Texts in any language

Nudity is encouraged but never required.
You are welcome exactly as you are.

Why This Evening Matters

In a world full of pressure, comparison, and masks, this event offers something different: authenticity.

At S.O.L.O, we see Naked Poetry as:

  • A body positivity practice in real life
  • A space to gently release shame and inhibition
  • A community ritual of listening, witnessing, and belonging
  • A chance to build courage that carries into everyday life

Words tell the story of the soul.
Bodies tell the story of a life lived.
Here, both are honored.

Event Atmosphere at Naked Poetry

Expect a warm, intimate, and grounded vibe:

  • Private and relaxed environment
  • Respectful, consent-based group culture
  • Emotional range welcome: love, fear, anger, tenderness, humor, humanity
  • No pressure to perform, no pressure to undress

This is not a sexual event.
It is a mindful community space for expression, reflection, and connection.
